After the local debut of Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro & Realme C1, Realme now adds a new U series smartphone in Realme U1 which is powered by MediaTek P70 SoC. As this smartphone is expected be available in Malaysia anytime soon, let’s go to the launch & have a look!

Inspired by nature (?), the rear panel of Realme U1 adds a glossy rear panel that refract & reflects light shine from different angle. It will be available in three colours tho and it’s Blue, Black and Gold.
Although it is not powered by Helio P80, the P70 is still some decent mid-range performer from MediaTek that offers good CPU and GPU performance. Furthermore the P70 also brings enhanced AI.
Besides, the Realme U1 also available in 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM. Both brings Mali G72 GPU which is okay, not too great neither the worst. There will gaming enhancement tool such as Do Not Disturb mode, gaming mode, split screen and othres.
The device currently delivers benchmark scores at 145021.
As for the rear camera, it has a 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera with 90fps slow mo, light effects & other enhancement tool.
As for the front, it s a 25MP camera with f/2.0 aperture with pixel size at 1.8μm with Sony IMX576 sensor. The camera is further enhanced with Anti-Blooming Engine from Helio P70 to reduce over-exposure.
There is also a Hybrid HDR that brings great colour saturation and balance while adjust background blurring and selfie beauty in real time.
On the other hand, Realme U1 also adds AI Beauty+ in India that detects 296 facial point to create a fair and shiny skin. There are more modes to play with!
Lastly, the 3GB RAM variant retails for Rs 11,999 (~RM712) while the 4GB RAM starts at Rs. 14,999 (~RM860). It will be available on Indian market by 5th December.
