Samsung launches Exynos 9610 based on 10nm processes, supports 480fps slow mo!

Earlier today, Samsung has launched a new Exynos processor for mid-range Samsung smartphones. The Exynos 9610 from Exynos 7 series is based on 10nm manufacturing process that brings significant enhancement to the Image Signal Processor (ISP) on smartphone’s camera.

Samsung also integrates AI technology to determine persona facial expression even if it is covered by hair and other apparel. It brings an advanced level of accuracy in face detection for camera.

The Exynos 9610 also shares the 4k 120fps encoding technology from Exynos 9810 on S9 and brings 1.6 more performance than Exynos 7885.

The Exynos 9610 is based on 8 core design that collectively constructed from 4 Cortex A73 clocked at 2.3Ghz and 4 smaller A53 cores at 1.6Ghz. Powering the graphics are the Mali G72 MP3 and supports up to Cat.12 theoretical download speed at 600Mbps.

This mid-range SoC is expected begin mass production on 2018 and smartphones launched will mainly focused on China customers.
