Did anyone recalled the first generation Sharp AQUOS S1 that inspired the Mi Mix and other large screen to body smartphones? Sharp today has bring us the new generation AQUOS S2 smartphone at Beijing which has a extremely large screen to body ratio and narrow bezel like its father, AQUOS S1 and dual rear camera that’s position vertically.
There is a distinguishable front facing camera located right at the top-middle of the display and a hidden speakerphone. It is the world first smartphone with 5 curved 3D glass that contains all hardware without a single visible cleavage on its side.
The SHARP AQUOS S2 also offers a 5.5 inches authentic Sharp display with a resolution at 2040 x 1080 and screen to body percentage at 87.5%. It is also the world first smartphone to be equipped with Snapdragon 635 chipset with 14nm process from the combination of 4 2.2Ghz Cortex A53 and 4 1.8GHz Cortex A53 processors.
The higher spec variant sports the Snapdragon 660 Soc.
As for its camera, it has a 8MP+12MP dual rear camera with an ultra fast focus time at 0.1 second. The 8MP front facing camera also supports selfie mode for enhanced picture quality.
The 4GB RAM & 64GB ROM variant starts at RMB2499 (~RM1597) while the high end 6GB RAM, 64GB ROM & Snapdragon 660 variant is at RMB3499 (~RM2239) and available in black, white, blue and mint blue.
