Sharp officially launches Aquos Aquos S3 at Taiwan with 91% screen to body ratio

According to Sharp Aquos smartphone launch plan, the Sharp Aquos S3 was intended to launch at Vietnam on the 28th March tomorrow. However, Sharp has silently launched this new smartphone with incredibly large 6 inch display with a small body size at Taiwan today.


The Sharp Aquos S3 comes with a large 6 inches Full HD display with aspect ratio at 18:9. The bezels size at 0.8mm makes the whole smartphone looks incredible small and reaching a screen to body ratio at 91%. It is now officially the world smallest 6 inches display smartphone to date.

Hardware wise, it is powered by Snapdragon 630 along with 4GB RAM and 64G ROM. There is also a 16MP front facing camera with AI selfie beauty and 12MP+13MP dual rear camrea with f/1.75 aperture with supports of 2x zoom.

Other features included such as NFC, Bluetooth 5, Facial recognition, fingerprint sensor, a 3200mAh battery capable of QC3.0 quickcharge. Software wise, it is running on Smile UX based on Android 8.0.

This Aquos S3 will begin sale on Taiwan at NTD11990 (~RM1600) and it will be officially launched in Vietnam tomorrow.
