While there are tons of flagship smartphone launched in each quarter of every year, there are some who are using smartphone with limited amount of storage space or in an area with slow internet connection. As Facebook Messenger is an network and storage hungry app that usually doesn’t runs well on entry level smartphones, Facebook will be launching a toned down version named as “Messenger Lite” on Playstore soon.
The Messenger Lite has the same objective as the main Messenger app which sent and receive messages from friends in Facebook. In comparison with the standard Messenger app, content downloads on Messenger Lite are much faster than the normal Messenger app and the storage requires to install this app doesn’t exceed 10MB. Besides, no data will be deducted when the users click on webpage through Messenger Lite.
