When the first metallic smartphone has become launched, it redefines the essence of premium and luxury of the smartphone. As a normal smartphone in that era only comes with a polycarbonate body because of its low manufacturing cost, the metallic body build has become more and more prevalence in the smartphone industry today. However, as the metallic smartphone getting common, someone has to change and shift their trends again to make something exciting for the consumers.
While we might not go back to the keypad era with tiny display, smartphones like Apple iPhone has always been the center of media attention of the smartphone industry today as it always comes with revolution in terms of design and features. The future of the iPhone is also said to ditches conventional metallic material as their exterior body part, and instead will feature a full glass material which makes it looks utterly premium.
This change in smartphone design and material build is likely to first seen on 2017. With the use of AMOLED display embedded beneath the front glass panel, a fully glass material smartphone will appear more unibody and elegant which appears premium-minded consumer.
However, we look forward to testify this claim as glass-like material are always more fragile and requires special handling.
