Moments ago we reported that Asus claims on the delayed update of the Zenfone series due to the use of Intel processor which has relatively low compatibility and the Asus Padfone Infinity will not receive update for Android 5.0 due to Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 is incompatible with Android L. However, Qualcomm then ‘slaps’ Asus right in the face because there are some other Snapdragon 800 models has received Android 5.0 update.
After discussion with Qualcomm chip manufacturer, Qualcomm will assist Asus for the Lollipop upgrade for their new Padfone Infinity and it is expected to roll out on Q3 2015. Well, at least it was better than none.
