Along with the shortage of chipset on the market, many electronics has experienced price surge due to the increased cost of manufacturing. vivo is also joining Samsung, HUAWEI and Apple into making its own chipset and they have recent patented the term “vivo SOC” and “vivo chip”
Besides, vivo is also shown to hire SoC specialist with salary up to RM1 million plus a year. These roles has the responsibilities on ISP programming and have more than 10 years of experience. 
Currently, there are over thousands of employee involved in the development of the ISP chip.
