Since the beginning of Android era, most Android users suffered from a serious issues after when they reset the smartphone, flashing new firmware or just switching Android smartphones – that is the application data will gone missing if no backup were performed. This rises to some major concern for Android users when they want to change their smartphone without completely losing data or just game progress.
However, this problem has come to an end in the Android M. In the developer preview version of Android M, there is an automatic backup feature which allows application data backup into Google Drive. This process is fully automatic and only upload when the smartphone is connected to WiFi.
When the user reinstall the application, the application data will automatically redownloaded into their device so user can enjoy their last saved progress or some data saved previously!
