Earlier today, Xiaomi has launched their own charging chipset – Surge P1 which will be able to support 120W quickcharge, and feature in their upcoming Xiaomi 12 Pro. The Surge P1 is manufactured by TSMC that allows bigger space saving for its battery to fit more components inside.
The Surge P1 has taken around 18 months of R&D and finally able to breakthrough the 120W charging barrier. There is also several mode to control the charging speed, which allows better control for overnight charging.
