One of the most anticipated smartphones from Xiaomi is their new flagship – Mi 5. The Mi 5 is set to be launched on after the Chinese Lunar New Year with the exact date not known. Although there is lack of credible renders and leaked design of the real Xiaomi Mi 5, the exclusive charger for it was found online. The company has claimed that they have received more than hundred thousand sales order on their new QuickCharge adapter and will be continue its manufacturing of the Xiaomi Mi 5 charging adapter.
With more than hundred thousand deal, Xiaomi is very confident on the upcoming market response of the Xiaomi Mi 5. According to the leaked images, the alleged Xiaomi Mi 5 charger comes with output at 5V/2.5A, 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A with the largest output at 18W. Coincidentally, this output also supports the power hungry Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset.
One of the reason for mass manufacturing of this charging adapter is Xiaomi may use the following charger in their future smartphones which support QuickCharge 3.0 technology. Looks like Snapdragon 820 powered Mi 5 is real!
