Earlier on Huawei 5G launch event, Huawei consumer services CEO announced that Huawei has brought industry greatest 5G solution with Balong 5000 chipset that supports NSA and SA dual architecture and supports 3, 4 and 5G connectivity at a lower latency.
Huawei also showcases the first 5G smartphone CPE with integration of Huawei smart home protocol and 30% increase in coverage. It also supports the newest WiFi6 standard that offers 4x more than standard data transfer speed.
Huawei has announced that they will be launching the world first 5G foldable smartphone in MWC 2019 which sports Kirin 980 SoC and Balong 5000 chipset.
Kirin 980 remains the most powerful 4.5G solution that supports LTE Cat.21 with download speed up to 1.4Gps, supports 4×4 MIMO 1.2Gbps, 2×2 MIMO 200Mbps and supports 256QAM.
With integration into Balong 5000, it would be a first fully functional 5G solution.
