Lead by the launch of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, Samsung has gain a lot of media attention lately and its their time to officially launch their newest mid-range SoC, the Exynos 7880 to compete against other mid-range SoC manufacturer in the mobile industry.
The Exynos 7880 is a 8 core SoC with Cortex A53 along with 14nm architecture. It is clocked at 1.9Ghz along with Mali-T830 integrated GPU for graphic processing. The new SoC is also compatible with eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.0 storage solution and even support DDR4 RAM, GPS, Glonass and up to 21.7MP camera.
The 14nm architecture also reduces power consumption by 36% from the last generation and promises a longer battery life. The Exynos 7880 is born to compete against mid-range SoC like Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and Helio P20.
