Earlier today, Apple has silently launches the iOS 13.5 new beta version. previously, many Apple user has complaint about the FaceID doesn’t recognizes with face mask on. With the newest update, the Face ID still not being able to unlock smartphone, but it will prompt user to enter PIN.
Furthermore, Corsight AI from Israel has developed facial recognition system for face with mask on. It is heavily invested up to 5 million USD by Awz Ventures.
In the meantime, Apple also heavily investing into improving their own Face ID technology. With the recent outbreak, this has affected daily operation of users with their smartphone.
