The DxOMark benchmark chart gets updated again with iPhone 11 Pro Max! The newest Apple release now sits on 2nd just below the Huawei Mate 30 Pro and the Xiaomi CC9 Pro which recently gotten the first place.
The iPhone 11 Pro max features a 12MP wide angle lens, 12MP super wide angle lens and 12MP telescopic lens. It also adds AI scene recognition, Night mode, smart HDR and 4K 60fps video recording.
For its photoshooting, DxOMark stated that the iPhone 11 Pro Max can maintain good detail, exposure and dynamic range in most test environments. The auto focus is fast and accurate, and the color is very beautiful. The addition of the super wide-angle lens and the telephoto lens are also the main scoring points on the DxOMark chart.
There are several downsides of this camera such as visible noise, loss of detail when long zoom distances, ringing effects when outdoors, loss of detail in flash mode, and loss of detail in super wide-angle lenses.
For its video, it has wide range of dynamics, good detail and noise control, excellent color, anti-shake performance, etc. both indoors and outdoors. The disadvantage is that the white balance is unstable in the indoor environment, the autofocus deviation occurs during tracking shooting and having significant Jello effect.
