It is a new selfie-centric smartphone with a great focus on its high resolution front facing camera promoted by celebrities from Korea and Malaysia! Without further adieu, let’s have a quick grasps on its specifications and unbox the new OPPO beauty!

Here comes the unboxing!
The container for the R9S has the conventional whitish look with OPPO logo similar to other OPPO gadgets. However, the R9S is clearly printed on the front and we all know that our main subject today is hidden within!
After removing its lid, the OPPO R9S comes in the top compartment while earphone, charging adapter, cable and other misc. accessories lies on the bottom.
As an OPPO smartphone, the R9S features its iconic VOOC quickcharging technology that can recharge the entire 2500mAh battery in just 15 minutes!
The stock earphones also come in a new and clean packaging.
For its display, the 5.5 inches Full HD display has a narrow bezel with large screen to body ratio and it is truly mesmerizing.
The 16MP front facing camera is the highlight of the R9S!
OPPO has reinvented the fingerprint sensor on the R9S with a new technology that work similarly with Apple iPhone 7. Simply touch and your fingerprint will be instantly recognized! The fingerprint recognition even works if your fingers are slightly moist

The R9S comes with a hybrid SIM slot so you had to compensate one of the SIM card space for SD card (or the other way).
Speakers and audio jack at the bottom. Thank god that they aren’t removing those!
There are two micro-antenna appeared on the top and bottom smartphone in stripes form. The new design removed the chunky antenna bar and gives a new level of unibody design experience.

In short, the R9S is a selfie-centric smartphone with an emphasis of clean and minimalist design. Tipped on its weight at 145g, it is fairly light and slim with thickness at 6.6mm which is ideal to slip inside your pocket or handbag!
The OPPO R9S is currently priced at RM1798 and will be accepting pre-orders until 13th January this year. It will be first available on Low Yat Plaza and VivaCity Megamall at Sarawak by 14th January onward.
