Earlier yesterday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announces that their social messaging platform – WhatsApp will be introducing a feature known as “Call Links”. With this feature rolled out, user can share the video call link and recipient will be able to join the video call link instantly.
To grab this link, simple click “Calls” in WhatsApp and select “Create call link” in which system will generate link to be shared to friends, family or even your colleague. It is also important to note that this feature is only limited to latest WhatsApp version.
Furthermore, Meta team is now testing secure encrypted video calls for up to 32 individuals which could be announced in the future. With Zoom and MS Teams taking the lead of video conferencing market, WhatsApp video call link could provide an alternative for informal conversation between family.
