According to Digitimes, the A11 SoC is now currently handled under TSMC from China which will be tested 1 year before implemented onto smartphones. Hence, we expected that the new Apple SoC will be added into the new iPhone 7s and not the iPhone 7.

The Apple A11 SoC will feature a 10nm manufacturing process which is expected to be submitted to Apple for sampling and further testing. The new chip is predicted to enter production on the second quarter of 2017. For the A11 chip manufacturing, the China based TSMC has granted 2/3 of the total order while rest is obtained by its nemesis, Samsung Corporation.
