128 cores in a processor? ARM think it is possible

If you think your octacore or decacore processor in your mobile chipset or your personal computer is the greatest thing ever make, ARM has launched a new SoC interconnect IP offerings in the form of  CMN-600 with 128 cores

The CMN-600 CoreLink support 32 subcore for each of the 4 main cores(and hence 128 cores). It will also feature the latest DMC-620 controller that support 8 channel DDR4-3200 memory. Other hardware components is also expected to be upgraded.
