With the recent 5G boom due to rapid effort in the 5G infrastructure and expansion, HUAWEI has now launched the new Y20 Pro (畅享 20 Pro) which provides an affordable solution to enter the 5G market. The HUAWEI “畅享” 20 Pro, or Y20 Pro is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor, 22.5W quickcharge, 90Hz quickcharge which gives user a better chance to try out 5G!

The biggest highlight of this mid-range HUAWEI smartphone is that it offers the cheapest 5G solution as a current generation mid-range smartphone. Despite bearing the HUAWEI brand name, the 5G connectivity is driven by MediaTek Dimensity processor with modem.
It is capable to support Dual 5G connectivity and its body is surrounded by 12 antennas, 26 different modes which is capable in reaching download speed of 1519Mbps in 5G network!
The colour is available in Galaxy Silver, Deep Ocean Blue, Magic Night Black and it has a side fingerprint sensor.
The Y20 pro does offer a 6.5 inches dew drop display with aspect ratio at 20:9 and screen to body ratio at 91.2%. The touch sampling rate is at 180Hz and the display is rated for HDR10+.
As a mid-range, it has a 48MP primary camera, 2MP macro shot (4cm) and 8MP depth and ultra-wide angle camera.
And it has a 16MP front facing camera with selfie beauty feature.
The MediaTek Dimensity 800 SOC comes embedded with 5G modem within. It is paired with a large 4000mAh battery with 22.5W quickcharge support. It supports HUAWEI AI smart battery control for better savings, utilizes Histen 6.1 for better audio immersion.
OS wise, it runs with the latest EMUI 10.1 system with the common screenshot and video recording gesture.
Pricing wise, the HUAWEI Y20 Pro will have 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variant and priced at $1999 to $2299. No availability details in Malaysia has been announced yet.
