With the launch of HUAWEI Mate 40, we can expect to see the new generation of Kirin processor from HUAWEI.
According to @RODENT950, the next high performance Kirin proceessor is known as Kirin 1000 which will be launching on 5 August.
It is based on 5nm processor with Cortex A78 cores which offers improved performance than the Kirin 990. It could also be launched along with Mate 40 which is scheduled to launch around the same time.
