Samsung has unveiled the entry-level Galaxy On5 and On7 in India. Both are priced in a highly budget price range around 150 and 200 USD (RM639 & RM850 respectively) that anyone could afford easily.
The Galaxy On 5 comes with 5 inches 720p display and powered by 1.3Ghz Samsung Exynos 3745 processor. It comes with 1.5GB RAm and 8GB of ROM. Luckily it supports microSD expansion so that you can download your favorite apps with no worries! It also comes with 8MP rear 5MP front camera with battery sized at 2600mAh. Fortunately, it runs on Android 5.1 instead of older version such as KitKat.
The Galaxy On7 comes with 5.5 inches HD display and powered by Exynos 3745 processor. The processor offer decent performance for basic use on its 1.5GB RAM and 8GB ROM (and support storage expansion too). Camera hardware wise, it come with 13MP rear and 5MP front camera. The battery is now slightly larger at 3000mAh and runs on Android 5.1 too
Both smartphones features the conventional and iconic ‘Samsung design’ that appears premium with Note 3 alike texture. This smartphone is likely to reach Malaysian market around end of this year. But how well does it compete with other budget smartphones that already existed in Malaysia?
